    Question

If I record footage on a 3 chip camera (mini DV) can I then play it back on a single chip camera (mini DV) and still maintain the original 3 chip camera quality, does antone know?

    Cheers

The answer would be yes. The 3 ccd indicates the front end of the camera not the playback device. The degradation in quality comes about with the output system. If you use firewire then this is a component output which is the best you can get. However if you use composite or (YC) luminience/chrominance) the quality suffers.
